Kenai

Reflection

My pets have always been there for me. When the pandemic hit last semester, they were overjoyed to have so much new attention, and I was blessed with the opportunity to explore hobbies I previously didn’t have much time for. One of these hobbies was photography, and I had some of the best subjects to practice on. These pictures I feel are rather significant representations of their individual personalities, especially Melody’s. In the darkest time through the years, my pets have been my light and inspiration, so when I was feeling sad about not being able to leave the house, the only logical solution was to spend more time with my pets. Everyone I feel has a special connection with their animals, and my connection to mine is of course very special as well. Melody has been a part of my life since I was a toddler, and I grew up with her waiting for the bus with me every morning growing up, every morning like clockwork she showed up to spend even just a small part of  every day with me. Koda has been with me since third grade and we had an instant connection with each other. He’s been my best friend ever since and my partner in crime. Kenai joined our family when I was in middle school and slowly but surely opened up to us. He and I both have anxiety, so I like to think we’re able to help each other through our struggles. I love my pets and I am so excited to be able to share a small part of them with all of you.
